@rugby England may have kickstarted their RWC campaign. That depends on how they play against Samoa and beyond. A few players looked really good. Smith, Willis, Arundel, Dan and deserve another chance to impress against Samoa. Smith can play at full back which will allow Borthwick to pick all three 10s if he chooses to. Chile should be proud of what they have brought to the World Cup. Their energy, commitment and skill have been impressive.
@rugby England were slow to get started. Brave defence and threatening attack from Chile, coupled with their own inaccuracies meant that it took 20 minutes to get on the scoreboard. From there they have got stronger. It's interesting that their most potent attacking options are coming from players on the fringe, players who probably will not play much more of a part in England's campaign unless Borthwick is prepared to pick on form.
