This is the "Dursey Cable Car" (although I guess at a certain point "The Flying Dumpster" must also have been on the shortlist), the only cable car in Ireland. It connect Dursey Island with the mainland.

I guess the unusual design, where the cable car is hanging on two cables, has something to do with the windy conditions. This should stabilise it more, so it can run also in unfavourable weather.
