• The only thing they do is swap driving license cards to upgrade security and as a means to pull outdated driving licenses from circulation.

¹ Classes C/CE/D1/D/D1E & DE just require a medical checkup to get extended each 5 years. So does any commercial transporting permit. But that's merely a eye exam and listening test as well as motor functions and excluding any 'incapacitating illnesses' as per checklist. Classes D1/D/D1E & DE further require a psych eval since that's the necessary license to drive buses with > 9 passengers commercially (Truck drivers are only allowed to "deadhead" said buses without any passegers onboard!

@ColetteDiskette I may sound elitist, but there's a reason why my university made EVERYONE who wants access to the #Linux-only #ComputerLab to attend to a lecture by the #Sysadmin of it and won't let people even get in line for an access card to it if they weren't listed as attendees of said lecture...

The problem is that #TechLiteracy isn't taught where it should've been [i.e. #ElementarySchool or at latest Middle School - you know, when people are supported to make like presentations and essays]

The European Digital Identity Wallet is the @[email protected] proposed solution to help people access #OnlineServices in the #EU quickly and safely. Today, they published a common EU Toolbox to set standards to create a trusted and secure #DigitalWallet. A pilot will soon test some #UseCases, such as #DrivingLicenses, #eHealth, and #payments.
