#drivebyphoto #springday
A moment before going under the Lincoln Tunnel. Lots of traffic cones as usual.
The rows of tall buildings along Rt.9 by the Hudson River always reminds me of Osamu Tezuka’s “Metropolis.”
Some #DriveByPhoto from yesterday. 🎄✨
Marvel a little extra
A picture might be worth a thousand words, but I know me — I try and add context to the journal entries for future me.

I know this day was filled with meetings. I checked into a grocery store, listened to three songs and marveled at this sunset, hoping for the light to turn red to marvel a little extra.
Fairly certain this ol’ Chevy Chevette is part of a package called Sandpiper (or it’s just some other faded yellow). Check out that Sandpiper logo in the catalog below!
Perhaps out West while the sun hits a mountain range. Or some coastal town as the blue hour approaches. But it’s just Ohio. On a January day in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Northside. I love the colors of this moment. (iPhone 6S+ did a good job!)

The return home was smooth, leaving before dawn and arriving in Cincinnati with the ground covered in snow and the thermometer barely cracking double digits.
We missed the worst of the cold snap. I’m starting to think mid January is an excellent time to go on vacation.
Edie was as happy to see us. The furnace was still working. And only a few pipes froze (the hot water for two sinks that share an exterior wall). It was good to be home.
A few snapshots from the window seat along the way back:
