Today, I participated in an event called the #DriTri, where I rowed 2000 meters, did 300 floor exercises, and power walked 1.55 miles (almost 2.5 km). It took me 47 minutes and 07 seconds. I was glad to do it in less than an hour. It was a fun experience and my first time doing it after being a member all these years. #orangetheory 🛶 💪🏾 🚶
Rowed 2000m today at #orangetheory and hit a personal record (PR) of 8:37:23 which isn’t very fast… but was my fastest to date. I got so tired of rowing at one point, and my Hoka shoe heel was slipping out of the foot plate so I decided to stop and re-strap it in. I wonder how much time I lost by completely stopping and fiddling with the strap. Maybe I was supposed to row through it? 😂 Either way, glad I went. I almost didn’t… 🚣
I’m signed up for #DriTri, so this was good practice.
Today was #DriTri day at #OrangeTheory, and they had the first Strength edition of the event. The 2k row and floor block are replaced by 3 rounds of 300m rows with 10x burpees, push-ups, bench tap squats, hammer curl to shoulder press, and front-load reverse lunges between rows. Finish with a treadmill block. With my neck issues I half to power walk, so that was a half mile starting at 12% incline, dropping to 10% half way. Was a lot harder than I expected.
