I didn't even manage my Pokémon walk today. Energy low. I couldn't concentrate on drawing either.

But I'm making progress in #DragonVale - although my islands need actual layout planning. Currently they've got that "village became a city and no one was prepared" design.

I've had a fibro pain spike since lunch. So once I'd managed to do a short walk, I've been catching up on #DragonVale while curled up, or laid out on the sofa.

I'd not been able to play for over a week because of a bug their end (a few players had it, but not most). So at least I can take part in the new event now.

For the last year and a half I've been playing Dragonvale. It was a game I adored in highschool, one of those crummy waiting simulators from the 2010s ala Farmville except in this one you get to breed a wide variety of dragons.

Turns out they kept developing it for years, and then when the original studio went under it was acquired by Deca who kept rehashing the same dated events but pumping out new dragons.

Back in the day, I don't even think there was 300 dragons and I never got all of them. I was missing just a small handful of limited ones I wasn't lucky enough to receive (and make no mistake, basically the only mechanic in this game is luck)

It became a bit of a mission of mine to get every dragon, only now there's over 850 and the vast, vast majority of them are locked to seasonal events

But hey, I finally did it! I can't recommend this to anyone! But I did it!

Once every dragon is unlocked you get the grand reward of your Dragonarium breathing red fire. Yep! That's all!

I mostly enjoyed it as a project in patience but now I'm done, I'm glad to put it behind me and never open the app again

They're releasing new dragons basically every week (with some extras) so in my time playing the number of dragons increased by 100 or so, making my goal ever more distant. But I did it. Woo.

Highschool me would be.... probably indifferent I guess. But I did the thing and that's what matters.

Seeing so many dragon city sponsorships has inspired me to go back to one of my teenage favorites, dragon vale
Much cuter imo, the nostalgia is big
Funny that it hasn't changed one bit in the last 9 ish years
