Like every November the Fifth I’m watching V For Vendetta with a glass of whiskey. There’s going to be at least one more, probably more than that. What I dearly hope is that when I finish the movie, it will remain a terrible warning.

20 years ago I watched Dr Strangelove on election night because I knew Bush was going to win. Tonight I hope Harris wins and keeps this movie in the realm of science fiction.

I have suspended a bunch of domains, all of which are well-known as bad actors, for reasons ranging from being fashy to peddling exploitative content.

I'm very much a fan of free speech, but there's a price for the podium, and these instances are simply paying that price. Part of free speech is that I don't owe anyone a place on the dais, as it were.

Wow! I was just on the old hellsite and saw that the Florida Board of Medicine voted to cut off all trans-affirming healthcare for everyone. No effective date as of yet, but once effective it will be immediate detransition for every trans person in Florida. I don't even understand how a state medical board can just ignore best practices in their field like the science doesn't exist. This is just heartbreaking. So many people will be hurt by this.
