A hacker has compromised a #backend system for #Doublespeed , an a16z-funded #startup that uses a phone farm to flood #socialmedia with AI-generated #TikTok accounts, and attempted to have those accounts post memes calling a16z the “antichrist,” according to screenshots seen by 404 Media.

Selon Futurism, s’appuyant sur une enquête de 404 Media, un hacker a compromis le backend de la startup d’IA Doublespeed, soutenue par Andreessen Horowitz, qui vend l’accès à un vaste réseau de « phone farms » pour exploiter des comptes de réseaux sociaux à grande échelle. L’intrusion a touché l’« entier backend » de gestion du phone farm, offrant une visibilité sur les téléphones utilisés, les ordinateurs « managers » qui les contrôlent, les comptes TikTok associés, les proxys et leurs mots de passe, les tâches en attente, ainsi que des liens permettant de prendre le contrôle des appareils. ⚠️ Type d’incident : piratage/compromission du backend.
One of the more famous digital investors, Marc #Andreessen, half of the #a16z name, is not only on the board of #Meta, but also investor in #Doublespeed.
And Doublespeed's goal is to create #AI ads and spam them to social networks. Of course, neither declared as AI nor as paid advertisement. To promote products you might not buy otherwise.
