A nak is the Thai version of a nāga, a divine serpent in Hindu mythology that takes the place of the lóng in the Thai version of the 12 Earthly Branches (which is usually, AND INCORRECTLY, called the Chinese zodiac).
Naks usually have 1, 3, or 9 heads, but I gave mine two because that's the limit of what I can draw. Beautiful, elaborate statues of naks guard Buddhist temples in Thailand.
