So it seems I’m automatically in the new insurance quote system without asking to be in it. #DirectLine quoted me a new policy for a not changed, no claims made situation with a £150 rise in cost but #USwitch just got me a quote for £200 less than my renewal quote. Why do they make us jump through these hoops?

A sorry tale.

An owner of a #rare #classic #Rolls has it break down on a trip, so calls the #RAC. The #RAC can't fix it so offer to recover it to the owners specialist garage. However they then lose the car, and when it turns up the car is damaged. Owner turns to his insurer, #DirectLine who without seeing the car write it off and send him a cheque fo £19,000.
