A pochi giorni dall’arresto del 17enne che avrebbe progettato un attentato a scuola, sul modello della strage della Columbine High School del 1999, un altro arresto per la minaccia di azioni terroristiche. Si ispirava a Theodore Kaczynski, l’anarchico statunitense conosciuto come Unabomber. È stato arrestato con le accuse di addestramento ad attività con finalità di terrorismo, anche internazionale, e apologia di reato aggravata dalle finalità di terrorismo. Ordinanza di custodia cautelare in carcere eseguita dalla Digos dell’Aquila, l’uomo è cittadino italiano ed è residente a Teramo.
L’attività di indagine è stata coordinata dalla Procura distrettuale antiterrorismo dell’Aquila. La misura cautelare è stata eseguita dalla Digos dell’Aquila insieme con il personale del Centro operativo sicurezza cibernetica dell’Abruzzo, con il supporto del Servizio per il contrasto dell’estremismo e del terrorismo interno e del Servizio polizia postale e per la sicurezza cibernetica.
L’arrestato, secondo le accuse, apparteneva alla corrente anarchica di stampo primitivista e accelerazionista, forniva istruzioni per via informatica e telematica sulla preparazione in casa di armi e munizioni, anche con l’utilizzo di stampanti 3D, nonché di materiali esplosivi da utilizzare con modalità terroristiche per il sabotaggio di servizi pubblici essenziali.
Secondo le indagini l’uomo pubblicava manuali e prontuari con istruzioni dettagliate per fabbricare e assemblare pistole, fucili, munizioni ed esplosivi attraverso metodologie violente e sovversive. E individuava bersagli da colpire, tra cui data center e società di gestione patrimoniale e di investimento americani.
Esaltava le attività di Unabomber, lo considerava un modello da emulare. Faceva proselitismo alla ribellione e all’unione per distruggere il sistema tecnologico e democratico attuale. Ai proclami l’uomo accompagnava immagini con uomini armati e volto travisato. E in questo senso avrebbe istigato all’organizzazione di attentati contro i centri nevralgici della vita civile, in virtù di un fanatismo anarchico ed ambientalista volto alla distruzione della società tecnologica in funzione del ritorno allo stato primitivo.

A few days after the arrest of the 17-year-old who was planning an attack on a school, modeled after the 1999 Columbine High School massacre, another arrest was made for threats of terrorist actions. He was inspired by Theodore Kaczynski, the American anarchist known as the Unabomber. He was arrested on charges of training in terrorist activities, also international, and inciting aggravated criminal acts linked to terrorist aims. A pre-trial detention order in prison was carried out by the Digos (General Directorate for Internal Security) of L’Aquila; the man is an Italian citizen and resident of Teramo.
The investigation was coordinated by the L’Aquila Anti-Terrorism District Prosecutor’s Office. The precautionary measure was carried out by Digos L’Aquila together with personnel from the Cybersecurity Operational Center of Abruzzo, with support from the Service for Countering Extremism and Terrorism and the Postal and Cybersecurity Police Service.
According to the charges, the arrested man belonged to the primitivist and accelerationist anarchist current, providing instructions via computer and telematics on the home preparation of weapons and ammunition, even using 3D printers, as well as explosive materials to be used in terrorist acts for the sabotage of essential public services.
Investigations revealed that the man published manuals and manuals with detailed instructions for manufacturing and assembling pistols, rifles, ammunition, and explosives through violent and subversive methodologies. He identified targets to be attacked, including American data centers and asset and investment management companies.
He exalted the activities of the Unabomber, considering him a role model. He proselytized rebellion and unity to destroy the current technological and democratic system. Accompanied by these pronouncements were images of armed men with obscured faces. In this sense, he allegedly incited the organization of attacks against the nerve centers of civil life, due to an anarchist and environmental fanaticism aimed at destroying the technological society in order to return to a primitive state.
