Amazon has a couple of the Christmas shows I'd like to watch for sale for cheap, but it really does say what all y'all have been telling me for years now:
"Availability of Purchased Digital Content. Purchased Digital Content will generally continue to be available to you for download or streaming from the Service, as applicable, but **may become unavailable** due to potential content provider licensing restrictions or **for other reasons, and Amazon will not be liable to you** if Purchased Digital Content becomes unavailable for further download or streaming." (**s mine)

"The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" rents for $5.99 & sells for $9.99, so buying lets me save $1.99 if they're kind enough to let me keep what I've bought for at least a year and a day, & even more if they allow it in future years. Do I bet $4.00 on that?

"The Muppet Christmas Carol" rents for $3.99 & sells for $4.99; so it would be a no-brainer except- wouldja believe I've never seen it? So that's betting a dollar that I'll like enough to want to watch it again at least once and that Amazon lets me keep the property I've purchased for at least that long.

Okay, so I'm obsessing over $5.00 in total, which I'm probably just going to spend; but, man, it sets my teeth on edge.
