@teapot_ben Still enjoying Honey Needle, trying brewed gongfu this time. It has a very pure flavor!

Ho Yum Blind Tasting Club Mystery Tea Number 4 was a black tea made in spring 2024 from wild tea trees grown in a tea master's personal garden in Fengqing, Zhonghe, Lincang. Technically a "Dian Hong", it drinks much more elegantly than most teas sold under that name.

What caught my eye about Intergalactic red tea from Crimson Lotus was the large amount of furry buds in the tea.
They call it a Dian Hong. For that style of tea, it is on the fruitier/softer side, rather than maltier/savory/herbal side. Relatively low bitterness and no sharpness, easy on the stomach. Good calming energy.

"Bumble Bee" - #DianHong or a Yunnanese "golden needle" #HongCha [Spring 22, CLT].
Nice tea with a solid profile of fruity notes as a most prominent ones. Vendor's description mentions lychee and I tend to agree.
It didn't withstand brewings with a long gaps between them, giving the signs of revealing red tea astringency already on a third infusion. This, paired with it's relatively high price, would prevent it from being recommended as a daily drinker.
