Finally !
With the play store access now enabled, I am hoping to attract a bigger audience, who were otherwise unwilling to try the app from alt stores.
#DhaagaDev I was previously insistent on always keeping a top navbar for all pages.
But, I've been digging this no header layout (where your banner extends and cover the top navbar) recently.
Going to apply this for all profile views ๐
Also coming in next version is a dedicated chat UI
Mostly implemented for #bluesky, but I'll try to make it somehow for #activitypub
Always nice to see how a a little bit typography adjustments and gradients make everything look prettier ๐ฅน

It seems the MongoDB team decided to deprecate the Device sync features for RealmDB.

#DhaagaApp was lucky enough to not use the cloud sync features (therefore not affected)
But, there are definitely long term implications to this, since RealmDB might no longer be a revenue-generating venture for MongoDB.
So, the future is uncertain.
I might need to move towards #watermelondb or other OSS alternatives. ๐

I am building a #foss #mastodon app and would like to share my UI research.
Today is all about timeline items.
Here is what I found to work really well for my project:
- โจ Bigger buttons (for more confident clicks)
- โจ Separate colour palettes for links, mentions and hashtags
- โจ FB-like UI > Twitter-like UI (on mobile)
- โจ No image cropping
- โจ Using Carousal over Grids (for multiple media items)
