#React #WatermelonDB

WatermelonDB is a new way of dealing with user data in React Native and React web apps. It's optimized for building complex applications in React / React Native, and the number one goal is real-world performance.

#DhaagaDev Some technical news.

It seems the MongoDB team decided to deprecate the Device sync features for RealmDB.

https://www.mongodb.com/docs/atlas/app-services/sync/device-sync-deprecation/

#DhaagaApp was lucky enough to not use the cloud sync features (therefore not affected)

But, there are definitely long term implications to this, since RealmDB might no longer be a revenue-generating venture for MongoDB.

So, the future is uncertain.

I might need to move towards #watermelondb or other OSS alternatives. ๐Ÿ˜”
