I think even shola aur shabnam, (both of these were movies I liked when I was a kid, but I don't think it holds well -- but definitely beats Raja Babu Y_Y and Haseena Maan Jaayegi, i really feel bad that you put yourself through that. #DesiWatch

both of those are rough watch indeed, just started the episode, and 3 min in I had to come and be like, I feel bad for both of you (RB was not so great even as a kid) A lot of early Govinda movies, and a few with Dhawan are good, but these... #DesiWatch

I also feel Meghe Dhaka Tara puts the lens on a very specific world which might not be easy to relate to outsiders (this includes non-bengali audiences in general) Btw Titash Ekti Nadir Naam (is one of his most self indulgent work and on my watchlist) #DesiWatch

I feel Ghatak's work was very self indulgent which makes it a great watch, but I can kinda imagine why it might feel very distant for many (or disliked) I still need to watch a lot of his work. #DesiWatch
