Shasta County Evacuation Zone COT-8970 has been reduced to an Evacuation Warning. The evacuation zones can be viewed on the Watch Duty map or on Genasys.

The fire is holding at 50 acres and is boxed in with retardant, there is one spot fire but is also boxed in with retardant, crews are making good progress - per Incident Command.

A temporary evacuation point has been set up at Foothill Highschool in Palo Cedro, per the Shasta County Sheriff's Office. Tanker 16 and Tanker 133 have been released to Redding - per Air Attack.

Shasta County Evacuation Zones SHI-5270, COT-8970, MIL-8960, and MIL 5280 are under an evacuation order. SHI-5260 and COT-8990 are under an evacuation warning. The evacuation zones can be viewed on the Watch Duty map or on Genasys.

The fire is 35 acres with a moderate to rapid rate of spread and spotting out in front, per incident command.
