The Dane County Board rejected a resolution to put an additional $13.5 million for the consolidated jail project to referendum in April, opting instead to wait until a more complete cost estimate comes in March and then decide whether to spend more or cut back on the project. I don't know why it continues to bother me so much, but the "nice liberals" who listen to the carceral punishers when they want to build more tools of oppression that make us less safe... Those people bug me.

How can you see that queer people are humans, and women should have control over their bodies, and so on... and then just be like "welp we should just keep shoveling money at this massively racist carceral system, also fuck the poors"
