Shot a roll of @ilmferrania P30 today! Been meaning to grab a roll for a while and it felt like a perfect day to do so. That roll of film is still hanging to dry, but I also decided to expose a step wedge and throw that in with my roll too just to see what I might get as this is my first time trying 510-Pyro with P30. Thanks to dektronics fantastic Printalyzer Densitometer I was able to plot the H&D with ease! The graph is from my Film Log app.

I forgot to start the dev timer when I started souping the film and ended up developing the film to a gamma of 1.14. By comparison, when I develop FP4 it's to a gamma of around .0.71. So uhh seems like I may have overdeveloped it slightly ;) Definitely more well done than medium rare...

I also could give it more light during exposure. I'm using my darkroom enlarger for that and used 13 Lux at 0.5 seconds. Looks like I can bump that up by 1-2 stops though I'll have to adjust my setup in order to do so.

Because I got the dev time off I wouldn't say this data is super reliable. Certainly don't use my data for your film. You should do your own film tests. Derek's densitometer makes that easier and so much more approachable than it used to be and I find it's been soooo worth it!

And while I'm at it, I've been looking for an excuse to show off Dektronics' Printalyzer Densitometer again. I love this thing! It comes in handy so often! Here I'm checking the density of some test strips I made while testing changes to my Simpleasels.

I've been using it for paper quite a bit lately since it's a great way to tell if my paper developer is starting to fall off. I'm using Ansco 130 and that stuff is amazing and still going strong! I've also used it to make H&D curves for film and help me with process control for my XT-3 replenishment stock.
