I knew she withdrew but it's heartbreaking to see. Physically she's fine. It looked like a complete mental block, she just hopped over the table and that's it. But then she starts crying and is standing all alone for several minutes waiting for the judges' decision. My heart sank seeing it play out.
The Chinese Deng Yalan made the vault final, that's unseen! Usually the Chinese score bad on vault. Today I learnt that it's not because they don't have good vaulters, it's just cause they prefer sending their best beam and bar workers instead. No idea why.
