It is a #MetalSlug clone that while I prefer the art direction of metal slug prefer the gameplay of demon front (mainly because the shield mechanic)
The gameplay is overall cathartic. If I remember right the level design is not as inspired as the core mechanics but is till above average.
It was developed by IGS (a company that I am certain to talk about more.) Who was based in hongkong and made some great fighting games also.
