I had promised a bonus December newsletter, and I just sent it out today to all of our subscribers. It's on degrowth and deconsumption, which, on the heels of this "giving" holiday feels especially pertinent and I hope you'll read it and give it a share.

This may be one of our most challenging newsletters to date: I hope that if you find yourself feeling a little uncomfortable as you read it you're able to understand that we don't want to make anyone feel guilty, but we do want to encourage lucidity and awareness of the cost of our actions. We dearly hope that it's a worthwhile read, and that you're willing to consider the points we make.

We're at a critical point financially as we close out the year, and if you're able to, please consider bumping your subscription to a paid subscription or offering a donation to our ko-fi. We want to continue to share meaningful work with all of you, and to do meaningful work here on the ground. Thank you all ~

They don't make it easy of course :P You can mass "consume" (that's the term they use on their site lol) larger quantities, but you have to press on each thing, press cancel, press confirm again, get loaded to a new screen, click on the subscripton screen, and repeat the process for each item. Very tiring! It's by design! But yay we got it all. One lil step at a time, consuming less and leaving a smaller footprint.

"We never throw old towels away as they become rags for cleaning or drying pets. Repurposing items to save money on cleaning supplies can save a reasonable amount of dollars in a year." [And without the #Microplastic pollution from buying plastic cleaning cloths!]
