Wie sieht die Zukunft der Demokratiebildung in Europa aus? Das DECITEL-Projekt arbeitet daran, Politische Bildung grundlegend neu zu denken – mit 12 Designprinzipien für eine europaweite Teacher Academy, lokalen Lernökosystemen, die Schulen mit der Zivilgesellschaft vernetzen, und einem wachsenden Fokus auf digitale Demokratiebildung. 🤝 Building strong local learning ecosystems

As part of the DECITEL project, the the polis – Austrian Centre for Citizenship Education in Schools met with Prof. Roland Trabe (University College of Teacher Education Vienna and European Union Studies – Jean Monnet Teacher Training Programme) to explore a possible collaboration with the Local Learning Ecosystem Bildungsgrätzl VerteilerKREIS.

📍 Located in Vienna’s 10th district, the Bildungsgrätzl VerteilerKREIS connects schools, educational institutions in Austria, and local actors to strengthen education through cooperation. Together, they create educational, cultural, and social projects—especially for children and young people, but also for the wider neighbourhood.

🌱 The goal: an inclusive, interdisciplinary, and sustainable educational neighbourhood that responds to local needs and supports a vibrant, diverse community.
