Coessential features his signature cockeyed conniption fits and collapsing rhythmic densities, though his glossolalian vocal theatrics are kept more in check than usual as sparring partner Baird Hersey lays out acidic string tangles and charred low volume slow burns triggering everything from unexpectedly delicate gamelan-like textural accumulations to concentrated explosions from him and ultimately landing the two of 'em in an atypical and entirely mindblowing round of Dzyan cum Terje Rypdal lysergic astral jazz.
