@digitalraven Our compute vendor warned us that after March 30 their prices are going up 250% and to order everything we need before then, so we scrambled to put in a $30M order by this week.
Yesterday they told us they not only wouldn't be filling that order (we can try to resubmit it at the higher prices), but they won't guarantee they can fill anything at all for the rest of the year.

Somehow I missed that #Microsoft has wedged Copilot AI into Notepad.
Yes, you read that correctly, and no, I do not mean some kind of tablet product, I mean notepad.exe. And I only found this out because the Copilot feature has a CVE that needs to be patched because of course it does.

Meta is doing such a huge advertising blitz on their data centers construction like it is long lasting, last i checked they are constructing data centers, which can anyone chime in on how many people that employs post construction?
The problem isn't so much "datacenters" as it is "building millions of square feet of datacenters that do nothing but pollute every possible form of online information with worthless LLM slop."
Interesting move by OpenAI, asking the Trump administration to expand the Chips Act tax credit to cover data centers.
Is this the infrastructure boom we were promised, or just more corporate welfare? What's your take?
