Since this week's #GenreOfTheWeek is #Dastgah, here's my copies of the radif. The radif is a collection of gusheh (themes, literally 'corners/niches') in each of the dastgahs. Each gusheh has it's own tonal character, and musicians will 'quote' or reference them. There are many interpretations of the radif for different instruments. On the left is the radif of great oud player Mansour Nariman, and the two volumes on the right are the most famous and definitive version, that of Mirza Abdollah.
