The year is winding down, so as an author with a website I am contractually obligated to remind you of the work I published this year, and note that I would welcome award nominations should you be so inclined.
Members of SFWA can download the non-free stories from the usual places on the forums. Any other potential nominators are encouraged to visit the contact page to request a copy of anything that looks interesting.
“When Mastered, a Graceful Accomplishment” (approx. 3,500 words) is set in 1890s London and deals with occultism, material culture, class, gender, and the rise of the standard model bicycle. The story appears in Bicycles & Broomsticks: Fantastical Feminist Stories about Witches on Bikes, the most recent entry in Elly Blue’s Bikes in Space series. The anthology is available direct or at your favored retailer.
“Stages of Pre-Bereavement” (approx. 2,600 words) is a dark science fiction story about love, loss, and grief. It appears in the anthology Darkness Blooms, available from the publisher.
“Lakeside” (approx. 1,000 words) is a ghost story about terrible situations, terrible actions, and the people who emerge on the other side. You can read it for free online in Underland Arcana.
“Pamplona” (100 words) is a dark science fiction tale about an encounter with the unknown. You can read it for free online in The Cosmic Background.
“Between the Storms” (approx. 1,800 words) is a cozy science fiction story of anxious adolescents meeting cute. It’s scheduled to be published by Hearth Stories in December; I’ll update this page when it’s out.
For citizenship and demographic purposes, I am a white cis woman, U.S. citizen, and primarily located in Pennsylvania.
