LeoniekeRereading/listening to all seven Thursday Next books in preparation for the release of the eighth (and final!!) novel later this year.
In general I have remembered most of the main storylines, but while the book continues forgotten plot details come back to me.
Basically everything about these novels just hit the right spot for me:
- interesting problems that are solved
- diverse "meanies" (Goliath!!)
- humor
- multiple multiple layers of intricate subplots
- fallible hero
And a love for language and literature. I am already looking forward to seeing Miss Havisham again!
These books are like a nice hug, an interesting conversation, tasty dinner, a good night's sleep, beautiful museums and walking in nature all rolled up into one book series for me.
