This is only for registered ACH 2026 attendees. It's the Wednesday 6/24 "#DHmakes Show-and-Tell Picnic" session at 5:30pm-6:45pm ET // 4:30pm-5:45pm CDT //2:30pm-3:45pm PT (program here). You can do one *or* both options! You can do Option B even if you can't make the session. OPTION A = Informal Craft Share: Participants will have 2 minutes to share something they’re making, or have recently made (easiest to *not* have slides; you can share links in the zoom chat and/or hold things up to the camera). OPTION B = To accommodate all (including people who are unable to attend during the synchronous time slot), we invite all conference participants to submit a 6" square image of something they’ve made, along with a few sentences describing it. Organizers will compile these into a single “picnic blanket” image and publish it online along with the statements, and make a high-resolution version available for participants to print (e.g. as a poster, t-shirt, or basis for further craft work) as they would like. You do not need to make it to the session to submit. Session plan: 1. ~30 minutes: up to 15 of the "Option A" 2-minute presentations 2. ~30 minutes: “co-making” time, where participants are invited to work on (some aspect of) their craft at the same time, leaving space for spontaneous conversation Don't forget there's a second #DHmakes session all ACH conference attendees are invited to join, on Thursday 6/25 (see "Special Interest Groups" session listing multiple SIG names; #DHmakes is at the end of the line). We'll be sharing the mail art packet projects a bunch of DHers contributed, and discussing what the SIG might do. This form is linked at https://tinyurl.com/dhmakes-achpicnic.
