The 1970s and especially 1980s are when everything changed in weather forecastibg with the introduction of large computers. This is a photo of the first big (literally) hpc @dmidk. then there were 5 employees in IT department, now there are more than 100

My employer @dmidk will be moving buildings in November so the Danish Meteorological society is marking the more than 50 years we have been at Lyngbyvej at our summer meeting (organised by #DAMSdk chief @kristianpagh )
