An excellent turnout for our third #CoverTheCoastside protest!
Here are folks at the Capistrano Road and Highway 1 location. For almost two hours people lined the sidewalks along the intersection and were greeted with an outpouring of support — horns and thumbs up and cheers — from the passing cars. (And a few obscene gestures as well.)

11:30 am — witness the silent protest by La Honda Indivisible at 92 & Main.
1:00 pm — help #CoverTheCoastside by taking part in one of the many protests up and down our area…

Starting at 1:00 pm on Monday, 19 January, join your fellow Coastsiders for protests up and down Highway 1, from Half Moon Bay to Moss Beach!
Bring your signs, noisemakers, effigies, and inflatables and gather at one of the locations near you as we Cover the Coastside with our peaceful protests. (Note the starting time has been pushed to 1:00 pm to fall after the Indivisible silent march.)
And we’re hearing as many as 500 people were at Main & 92 in Half Moon Bay!

Cover the Coastside seems to be a success! I heard there were about 120 folks at the Jetty. We had about 20 people at the intersection of 1 & Capistrano.
A handful of naysayers, but the overwhelming response was positive. A steady stream of honks and cheers and thumbs up and people yelling “thank you.”
