I'm making myself a pair of lacing strips to use when fitting in-progress corsets: the corsets themselves will usually have eyelets every 2 cm, should I also put eyelets at the same distance on the lacing strips for accuracy, or do you usually make them with less eyelets?

If you don't know what flossing is in the context of a corset, it's all those little white bits of embroidery, which are keeping the structural supports of the bones in place, on the boning channels.
This is from the Symington collection and the 1890s, but same idea in the Edwardian era.

The brocade one certainly looks stunning too...
I just wish I had the "frontal displacement" to make the satin one look good on me.
