SUI GIORNALI A CHE SERVE LA FLOTILLA? A FAR SPARIRE MODENA-FIRENZE-COSENZA
No, non è Il Tempo a essere dotato di poteri straordinari di previsione e preveggenza, ma sono gli altri ad essere maledettamente prevedibili. Da giorni vi segnaliamo l'arretramento nella foliazione (ogni giorno tre-quattro pagine più all'indietro) delle notizie sul rischio del terrorismo islamico a casa nostra.
Le notizie oggi sarebbero ben tre: l'attentato a Modena, l'arresto del mini-jihadista a Firenze, la condanna di un altro propagandista tra Cosenza e Catanzaro.
Ecco: a che serve - mediaticamente parlando - l'operazione Flotilla? A far sparire dai giornali tutto ciò che ruota intorno al tema sgradito alla stampa “accogliente”.
E allora il gioco è fatto: sul Corsera tre pagine sulla Flotilla e nulla sul terrore islamista, sulla Stampa cinque contro mezza, su Rep tre contro una (ma a pagina 27), sul Fatto quattro contro nulla, sul Messaggero due contro nulla.
A maggior ragione il centrodestra farebbe bene a riflettere: ha senso farsi trascinare dagli altri sulla narrazione più comoda e gradita per loro?

TO THE NEWSPAPERS: WHAT USE IS THE FLOTILLA? TO MAKE MODENA-FIRENZE-COSENZA DISAPPEAR?
No, it’s not Il Tempo [newspaper] that’s equipped with extraordinary powers of prediction and foresight, but it’s the others that are incredibly predictable. For days we’ve been reporting on the retraction in pagination (three-four pages back each day) of news about the risk of Islamic terrorism at home.
The news today would be three: the attack in Modena, the arrest of the mini-jihadist in Florence, and the conviction of another propagandist between Cosenza and Catanzaro.
Here’s the deal: what’s the point – mediatically speaking – of the Flotilla operation? To make everything that revolves around the theme unwelcome to the press “accommodating” disappear from the newspapers.
And so the game is over: on Corsera three pages about the Flotilla and nothing about Islamic terrorism, on La Stampa five against half, on Rep three against one (but on page 27), on Il Fatto Quotidiano four against nothing, on Il Messaggero two against nothing.
All the more reason for the center-right to reflect: does it make sense to be dragged along by others on the narrative that’s most comfortable and welcome for them?
