Funny, the latest episode of Compiler talks about edge computing and that it's quite old already. "Over 20 years."

In 1994 I had written a program for laptops in trucks going to Poland, connecting to the internet via 2G/3G phones, uploading and downloading information to/from a small Linux server at the company office.

Edge computing.

Red Hat #compilerpodcast had an episode on COBOL that had a funny historical tidbit https://www.ericsbinaryworld.com/2023/09/28/but-it-wasnt-for-production/
But it wasn’t for production!

If you’re a developer you’re probably familiar with the idea that you will make a hack or a demo project just to demonstrate that the concept works and then management takes it and runs…

Lately listening to „Adventures In Automation“ from #CompilerPodcast, where the content is great but the spark of joy is incredible.
Always makes me smile.
Thanks!

Had a lot of fun contributing to this Red Hat #CompilerPodcast episode about the role of design in a tech startup and how good design is good for business.

Compiler: Re:Role | The Designer And The Blueprint

Design can be a powerful tool. But where, and how, does it start when building software? And how can it drive a company’s growth?

💫 I’m super happy to be a featured guest on Red Hat’s #CompilerPodcast where we’re talking about what design all is, how it can be a powerful tool, when to involve it (spoiler: right from the start!) and more. 🦄

A big thank you to Kim Gillus Huang and Johan Philippine for having me. 🙏
