Cupar Presbytery minutes July 16th 1745 "a scandal of a very gross nature had broke out in the parish of Colessie[sic]". Having followed further I'm seriously shocked! This should not have just been a matter for the church authorities. The accused fled the country. I'm not sure they ever caught him.
