"Rainy Day People" went to number 26 on the #Billboard Hot 100. It was Lightfoot's last of four songs to reach number one on the #EasyListening chart, spending one week at number one in May 1975.

I've been listening to Gordon Lightfoot songs in remembrance and appreciation of the music he gave us all. Here's Tony Rice (and a not-bad little band of Mark O'Conner, Sam Bush, Mark Schatz and Jerry Douglas) singing Lightfoot's song Cold on the Shoulder. Tony Rice recorded many Gordon Lightfoot songs, he had such an affinity.
