SIGUE ⬇️

Yeah, no doubt. Those scribes weren’t just copying words, they were building knowledge for the masses—long before printing presses or any real workers’ rights. The effort’s wild tho, decades of grind for one book. Shows how deep the need for shared wisdom ran, even under feudal rule.

Dizarranged - Think different

This is Codex Gigas. Or “the Devil’s Bible.” It’s the largest known medieval illuminated manuscript.

It was created in a Bohemian monestary, stolen by Sweden during the 30 Years’ War, and is now in a Swedish museum.

Legend says a Christian monk broke his vows and was sentenced to be walled up alive. To escape death he promised to create this book in one night, making a deal with the devil.
