Managed to capture this guy as he moved from branch to fence post. Some joggers scared him off though.

Summer Tanager. Bloomington West Park at Clinton Lake, Lawrence, Kansas, April 25th, 2026.

First time I've seen one, and it is/isn't surprising as to why. On the one hand, I'd've thought a bird as vibrantly red would've been easy to notice. On the other, I'm on the very edge of their range, so they probably aren't that common. Glad I found another bird just as majestic as the Cardinal!
