Check out this recent paper by some colleagues from our lab, where they conducted the first comprehensive assessment of a range of #climate-related #threats to the vast undersea network of #seafloor cables across the #globe and their landing stations. They analyzed how and where future #ClimateChange is likely to impact subsea cables and their shore-based #infrastructure.

The #EPA recently announced $100 million in #climatechange #climateadapation funding for communities to address longstanding #environmentaljustice concerns.

I'm particularly excited about the EJCPS Cooperative Agreement Program which aims to provide grants to develop solutions for environmental and public health issues in local communities.

Anyone out there exploring / working on #LivingLabs #InnovationEcosystems or #imagination capacity of communities (for example to help with #ClimateAdapation )?

Was listening to a podcast today about #CommunityEnergy and the advancement in battery tech (e.g. sand heating, and zinc-bromide) and pondering whether I could pitch a living lab for our neighbourhood which integrates new #cleantech for a regional village, as well as skills/jobs program, plus research into uptake and usage of the tech.

During the #FinanceinCommon2022 Closing Session, @IMFNews Managing Director @Kgeorgieva stresses the role of #PDBs in accelerating #ClimateAdapation; both vital and urgent to save millions of lives and reduce the cost of natural disasters.
