The US Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw is loaded with 1,200 Christmas trees from Northern Michigan, intended for Chicago families in need.

The cutter left Cheboygan, Michigan (on Lake Huron) on November 25th, following a similar route of another Christmas Tree Ship in 1912.
