It’s hard to feel the Christmas Spirit when you’ve not been used to these conditions as a child, especially because Christmas is so associated with winter! Even here, trees are decorated with snowflakes and other winter symbols! 🥴
Anyway, Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrate, nice Sunday to everyone who don’t and a virtual hug for everyone who struggle at this time of the year for any reason! 🎄🦌🎅🏻❤️
- it’s a stressful period for many as we have in a couple of months the end of the school year, Holiday Season, Summer holidays, results for exams, inscription to schools/university. All those major events that are costly and stressful happen in 3 months in the year!

- there are Christmas lights but as December 21st is the longest day in the year, you cannot really enjoy them before 9 pm!
- of course there is no option of natural Christmas tree, forget the smell of it, the tree is plastic and you reuse it year after year (this is a good thing for the planet!)

Christmas in the Southern Hemisphere is a weird thing!
- it’s summer. And here in Santiago, Chile, hot summer. Min 14C and max 32C these days. All the chants I’ve learned when a child in France are about winter wind, snow and being cold. Here we’re in short or even in swimming suit in the outdoor pool! The few Santas around are in malls or supermarkets with air conditioning because… 🥵
