omg you guys the #orchidShow at #ChicagoBotanicGardens!!! Chicago-area peeps don’t miss it! Of course it’s mostly about the incredible delicate sublimity of all the flowers, but the exhibit itself is so gigantic and varied, it’s also incredible to see just as an example of humans working together to accomplish something beautiful for its own sake. I mean, it’s just incredible as a feat of both horticulture and as public service, if you really think about it.
