A sad read covering his addictions, narcissism, and the blame he for years put on his parents (particularly his mother). Especially so given how he died and that the book ends with him claiming to have put all of that behind him. That's me out of the latest haul of charity shop books, so I'll be on the e-reader until I can restock. #CharityShopBook #Bookstodon

Finished this #CharityShopBook a couple of days ago. An interesting combination of music, art and how they have interacted with the landscape (including the changing of the landscape and access to it) over the last 100 years #Bookstodon

My review of this #charityshopbook is 'meh'. A couple of very nicely written sections, but I didn't like the style (jumping around between perspectives one of which was of an external observer that made following conversations awkward) and I didn't like any of the characters so wasn't invested in their journeys. #bookstodon
