Russian president Vladimir Putin has appointed Aleksandr #Chaiko, a general implicated in the 2022 massacre of Ukrainian civilians in Bucha, as commander of the country's Air and Space Forces, Russian media reported on May 4.

#Russian war bloggers report that there has allegedly been a change in the command of the #Russian forces in #Syria. Lieutenant General #Sergey_Kisel has reportedly left his position.
It is not yet known who will replace him, but it is likely that Colonel General #Chaiko will take over.
#Chaiko is reported to have laid flowers at a memorial in #Syria during the defence and fall of #Aleppo.
Both war criminals also took part in the war in #Ukraine.
