#CarFreeJFK
Front row bike parking yesterday 9am at #HardlyStrictlyBluegrass.
And after a full day of fantastic music it took only about half hour to bike home to Glen Park. For comparison it’s taken that long to walk to my parked car in prior years. 🤣
Thanks to the organizers for making it a breeze to get to this wonderful event.
@nk - On my rainy Saturday #BikeSF ride I saw literally hundreds of people on #CarfreeJFK but as I went west onto JFK Drive I saw nobody except a few neighorhood dogwalkers.
All that unused parking! Using the logic of opponents of carfree spaces, my anecdote means that nobody's ever using JFK and so we don't need that parking or to let cars on it.
Today’s ride included Emeryville’s Ohlone Greenway, Oakland’s Telegraph protected lanes, and San Francisco’s car-free Market St, Slow Page St, car-free JFK, the Great Highway, and bike-friendly SF Bay Ferry. So nice. Bike activists have accomplished so much here. #BikeTooter #SFBay #CarFreeJFK
Easily the worst part of the trip was Berkeley’s Russell St Bike Boulevard. 😞 #berkeley
early results on Prop J (car-free JFK) is passing! Prop I, Dede Wilsey's funded 'cars-everywhere' proposition failing.
