Fire reported as approximately 1/4 acre, slow rate of spread, with power line down in the area. Evacuation warning for adjacent campground cabins. Six cabins threatened and being evacuated. Potential threat to approximately 20 cabins.

Firefighters are initiating a progessive hose lay advancing hose around the perimeter of the fire. SBC ASU on scene and dropping water with Copter 3. SBC, CALFIRE fixed wing aircraft (AT & 2 Air-tankers requested), LPF, and State Parks responding.

Update for my #SantaBarbaraCounty peeps and those who have to take #Hwy101. There’s a new start in the El Capitan fire. I don’t have much info yet but will keep you posted.
