The #KTM690 ran beautifully all day, giving 26km/l. No thrashing or taking it easy, just riding. Lithgow had much cheaper petrol than the more populous , commutey, and touristy Mountains. Anyone would think we get ripped off 🤔
The valley & campsite are stunning, & I expect weekend camping is busy ~8-10 cars today. Toilets, van toilet dump point, tables, fireplaces (check restrictions), beautiful cliffs, & a shallow creek. Recommended day trip or a camp.
Today's ride was to Coorongooba campsite, Glen Davis, part of the #Capertee Valley, which is wider than the Grand Canyon (not as deep). No dirt bar about 4km to the site. The road from Capertee is glorious, winding up & down through bush, 100 limit, avoidable potholes, & SFA overtaking, requiring 100% concentration. I stopped each way to let slow cars escape, and really enjoyed myself (legally!😎)
