Richard Guggenheim, one of the leaders of Gays Against Groomers, is in the running as a delegate, and a lot of people are posting links to news stories about this SPLC-designated anti-LGBTQ hate group and encouraging delegates not to vote for him for anything, calling it attempted "TERF takeover of the party."
Here's Rick Guggenheim's name on the PLEO (Party Leaders & Elected Officials) ballot for the state delegation to the DNC. The party holds a separate election for non-politicians or party leaders so they don't hold an outsized sway over the vote. That said, who the hell would vote for this bigot?
