Roma, 29 mag. (Adnkronos) - “Oggi festeggiamo la partnership Coni - Conai. È un momento importante perché rilancia quello che abbiamo fatto a Milano - Cortina e ci proietta verso Los Angeles 2028; siamo nel mezzo di un quadriennio importante. Milano - Cortina ha rappresentato una vetrina fantastica per il nostro Paese, ci fa estremamente piacere che il messaggio che abbiamo portato avanti di tutela dei nostri ambienti sia poi il fondamento di questo protocollo". Lo ha dichiarato Carlo Mornati, segretario generale Coni, a margine dell'evento conclusivo del progetto ‘Riciclo di classe' che ha visto la partecipazione di circa 200 giovani alunni nella tenuta presidenziale in una giornata dedicata all'ambiente.
"Le olimpiadi di Milano - Cortina - ha proseguito - hanno rappresentato l'occasione per far vedere i nostri paesaggi e da questo punto di vista mi fa estremamente piacere che il record di medaglie sia stato fatto in Italia. Al centro del protocollo c'è il rispetto e la tutela dell'ambiente, che è uno dei fondamenti dello sport e dell'olimpismo moderno. Le stesse Olimpiadi hanno sì una finalità agonistica, ma soprattutto tendono a lasciare un messaggio a chi viene successivamente. L'obiettivo è quello di lasciare i posti in cui si è stati in un modo migliore rispetto a quanto siano stati trovati. Oggi possiamo celebrare con questi ragazzi questo messaggio”.
“La catena del riciclo inoltre - ha aggiunto Mornati - è alla base del circolo virtuoso che si instaura anche all'interno del nostro movimento sportivo, soprattutto per l'utilizzo dei materiali, anche da competizione. Quasi tutte le specialità, penso ad esempio alle specialità nautiche, fondano nel riutilizzo dei materiali la loro ricerca scientifica. Si passa dalle canoe, alle barche di canottaggio per finire alle vele degli sport velici. Questa catena del riciclo è fondamentale e mi piace portarla come testimonianza di questo circolo virtuoso”.

Rome, May 29 (Adnkronos) – “Today we celebrate the Coni-Conai partnership. It’s an important moment because it relaunches what we did in Milan-Cortina and projects us towards Los Angeles 2028; we are in the middle of an important four-year period. Milan-Cortina represented a fantastic showcase for our country, we are extremely pleased that the message we have carried forward of protecting our environments has then been the foundation of this protocol." This was stated by Carlo Mornati, General Secretary of the Coni, on the sidelines of the closing event of the ‘Recycling of Classrooms’ project, which saw the participation of around 200 young students at the presidential estate on a day dedicated to the environment.
“The Milan-Cortina Olympics – continued – represented the opportunity to show our landscapes and, from this point of view, I am extremely pleased that the medal record was made in Italy. At the center of the protocol is respect and the protection of the environment, which is one of the foundations of modern sport and the Olympics. The same Olympics do have an athletic purpose, but above all they tend to leave a message for those who come afterwards. The goal is to leave places in a better way than they were found. Today we can celebrate with these kids this message.”
“The recycling chain – added Mornati – is at the base of the virtuous circle that is also established within our sporting movement, especially for the use of materials, even from competition. Almost all disciplines, I am thinking for example of nautical specialties, base their scientific research in the reuse of materials. We go from canoes, to rowing boats to finish with the sails of sailing sports. This recycling chain is fundamental and I like to bring it as a testimony of this virtuous circle.”
