Cardinal urges ‘sustained’ protests against corruption
Authored by five young men and a young woman in their 20s from various dioceses across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, this petition below, which I liken to an encyclical of a saintly Pope because of its firm pro-tradition message, was sent to the Episcopal Commission on Doctrine of the Faith (CBCP-ECDF). It urges church leaders in the Philippines to provide a clear public response to guide Filipinos on the importance of Catholicism for salvation and how to draw the line between evangelization and being “friendly” with non-Catholics. So far, these young heroes have received no response from the office. More info about this work here.

It’s been a month and a half since Pope Francis, the successor of Saint Peter and representative of Jesus Christ on earth, made his historic statement during his visit to Singapore. Probably in an attempt to please his audience, for the first time a Pope declared that all religions are pathways to God. This controversial statement has stirred the minds and hearts of many concerned Catholics, who rightly condemn this heresy. Our holy saints and angels, if they were physically with us, would have done the same.
Predictably, those who see Pope Francis as an unequivocal spiritual leader have rallied to defend him. They know the Pope has erred this time but are hesitant to voice any criticism. Some cling to the outdated belief that a pontiff should never be criticized, while others, out of ignorance, believe the Pope is always right. Many clerics and religious figures have forgotten the limitations of their vows of obedience, and Catholic internet influencers prefer to undermine the Pope’s error rather than risk losing followers, and their income too, for speaking against the Pope.
As a relief, some saintly prelates have spoken out, rightly insisting that without the valid Sacraments of the Church instituted by our Lord Jesus Christ, there is no salvation. However, most clerics remain silent on the issue, as many bishop conferences often do when dealing with matters against Pope Francis. As his collaborators in the creation of a New Church, our church leaders seem to prefer to let time pass until the controversy subsides.
In response, five young men and a young woman in their 20s from five different dioceses across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao have joined forces to petition the CBCP to rebuke Pope Francis’s heretical statement. They submitted a 53-page petition to the Episcopal Commission on Doctrine of the Faith (CBCP-ECDF), urging church leaders to provide a clear public response that would guide Filipinos on the importance of Catholicism for salvation and how to draw the line between evangelization and being “friendly” with non-Catholics.
They sent the original petition on September 28, followed by the Supplement on September 30, and a Manifestation on October 4, 2024. As of now, they have heard nothing from the office. It appears that, much like any secular organization, our church leaders will only respond to a petition if there is a substantial monetary donation involved or if they face public embarrassment.
I know only one of these young men personally. He shared their work with me, and I offered to publish it on this website if other Catholic platforms are unwilling. Please consider reading the document and sharing this post. It’s one of the ways to refresh our belief that outside the Catholic Church there is no salvation.

CBCP maintains 'divorce is evil'

Their Bible allowed #divorce and there is no verse that repealed it. Their “G-d” said He never changes.
If we are to believe #CBCP then (1) their Bible is wrong; (2) their “G-d” is evil; and (3) their G-d is a liar.
#MANILA, #Philippines – The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (#CBCP) denounced on Sunday, December 3, the bombing of a school gymnasium where a Mass was being held in #MarawiCity.
CBCP president Bishop Pablo Virgilio David said the bombing happened on the First Sunday of #Advent, which holds special significance for #Catholics because it begins the traditional four-week preparation for #Christmas. #MarawiBombing
All these LGUs declaring this disrespectful performer #personanongrata are such hypocrites. Why isn't there a persona non grata status for that President who seems to be drunk all the time? Just follow what #CBCP did and move on already.

According to David neglecting abused women and children, the poor and the homeless, and victims of extrajudicial killings (EJKs) is far worse.

Neglecting #EJK victims is also blasphemy, says #CBCP president
